Marty Sertich grew up in Roseville, MN where his lifelong love of hockey began.  His family history is rich with the tradition of hockey, and he brings with him a passion to continue to develop Minnesota hockey players.

Marty graduated from Roseville Area High school in 2001.  He played for his Dad and alongside his brother for the Raiders, and went on to receive the Mr. Hockey Award that spring, going to the top high school player in the state.

He spent one year playing for the Sioux Falls Stampede (USHL) where he was named to the USHL All Star Team.

Marty went on to play for The Colorado College Tigers from 2002-2006, helping lead his team to the Frozen Four in 2005.  He was honored with the prestigious Hobey Baker Award in 2005, going to the top collegiate player in the country.  His numerous other awards and achievements throughout his collegiate career included: Team Captain, First Team All-American, WCHA Player of the Year, and USA Hockey player of the year.

Marty continued his hockey career, playing professionally for 10 years.  He played four seasons in the American Hockey League (Iowa Stars and Lake Erie Monsters) where he was named Man of the Year, selected for his outstanding contributions to the community and local charities.  After 4 years in the AHL, he went on to play 6 seasons in Europe; 3 years in Switzerland and 3 years in Germany.  In 2013 he was selected to play for Team USA during the Deutschland Cup.

Marty’s love for the game is apparent every time he steps on the ice.  He is passionate about developing youth hockey players, and is excited about the opportunity to contribute to one of Minnesota's most important traditions: hockey.
